The Raventós Codorníu group is now the largest producer of organic cava in the world, leading the global transition to sustainability. Since we were founded in 1551, we have combined tradition and innovation, carving out our place as a centuries-old business which always seeks innovation.
Our commitment to quality has been the key to Raventós Codorníu’s masterful development over more than 18 generations, and it has made us a respected world leader in the winegrowing sector. Our winegrowing activities use sustainable agriculture techniques, minimizing the use of chemical products, making optimal use of water resources, and caring for the natural ecosystems where our vines are grown. All of this makes us leaders in terms of sustainable practices in the wine world.
Raventós Codorníu sells approximately 5 million bottles of organic cava per year – 35% of the global market.
With fifteen emblematic wineries spread across Spain, Argentina, and California, the group is working to make the Codorníu brand 100% organic by 2024 – a milestone that has already been achieved by the Parxet, Titiana, and Raimat cava brands.
The philosophy of our business goes beyond merely generating financial profit: we strive daily to develop environmental improvements that promote the viability of a sustainable future and that translate into social and economic advances for the world that surrounds us.

Our aim to add value to the land and preserve our environment as a source of wealth for present and future generations links us directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For this reason, we adhere to the ten principles of the Global Compact related to human rights, labor rights, the environment, and the fight against corruption. Thus, Raventós Codorníu is committed to making the Global Compact and the SDGs part of its corporate culture and business strategy.

Sustainability in our Business Model
The sustainable development of Raventós Codorníu is one of the key factors of our business model, applied in its three aspects: economic, social, and environmental.
Sustainability has been a trend for the company since its origins, and for this reason we consider it essential to use methods that minimize or avoid environmental deterioration – striving to innovate in order to ensure future wellbeing. To accomplish that, we have an interdisciplinary R&D team focused on continuous improvement in terms of our winegrowing quality and the environment, and we pay close attention to new regulations that could influence decision-making as it pertains to sustainability. Likewise, we actively collaborate with other climate change companies, experts, and governmental agencies in order to anticipate new legal obligations and work towards compliance therewith.
This commitment is strengthened through the management of Raventós Codorníu from a philosophy that includes four lines of work: care for the environment, local development, people, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
