In 1872, Josep Raventós Fatjó produced the first bottle of cava by applying the traditional method to a combination of the grape varieties used for Penedès wines: the Macabeo, the Xarel·lo, and the Parellada. Since that first innovation 150 years ago, Codorníu has been developing cavas that it exports to half the world in its facilities at Sant Sadurní d'Anoia – wine cellars classified as a National Historic and Artistic Monument in 1976, the work of the architect Puig i Cadafalch. We spend our lives talking about dreams; talking about all those things we haven't done yet or that life we only dream to accomplish. That is our philosophy. The history of Raimat can be summed up in one word: SUSTAINABILITY. This is true from the time in 1914 when Manuel Raventós, the owner of Codorníu, acquired some arid and infertile land to turn it into what is now the largest wine growing estate in Europe that is in the hands of one single family. Raimat proudly stands today amidst a unique environment that features pure waters from the melting snows of the Pyrenees; having 100% of its vineyards certified as sustainable by the CCPI (Catalan Council for Integrated Production). Raimat is a pioneer in cultivation and winemaking technologies, leading it to divide its nearly 3,000 hectares into distinct plots that are dealt with individually in accordance with their unique characteristics. We have stopped and listened. We have broken with time. We have dug our hands into the earth and we have felt its heartbeat. We have filled ourselves with the voices of the wind and of silence. And, from atop the high vineyards, we have let the landscape talk. Cellers d'Scala Dei is the living history of Priorat wine, with the Grenache variety at the helm. Scala Dei is the oldest winery of the Priorat Designation of Origin. It was established by the Carthusian monks in the year 1163 and today the legacy of that spirit for handmade craftsmanship lives on within its walls. Scala Dei wines capture the essence of the rugged landscape, the intense climate, and the old vines; the result is wines that faithfully exhibit the terroir. There are four grape varieties that grow on the 90 hectares of Scala Dei's vineyards, all of which are owned by the company itself: Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah (most recently planted). Its wines are made in an artisanal way, meaning that production is very limited; they are incredibly powerful and feature a great complexity of flavours that age well.
Abadía de Poblet

Abadía de Poblet, the only winery in Catalonia located inside a historical monument, brings together the winemaking tradition of the monks of the Cistercian Order, which originated in Burgundy, with the knowhow of the Conca de Barberà, a unique region that has maintained its autochthonous varietals. The philosophy of new monastery wines, which recover local varietals (mainly trepat, garrut and garnatxa), is to transmit the characteristics of the grapes they are made from and the terroir they were grown on. This is achieved through non invasive winegrowing and by recovering the winemaking techniques of the monks of the Cistercian Order.

The harvest at Legaris arises out of more than two thousand years of cultivation of grapevines in the Ribera del Duero wine region and it aims to create a unique wine that is full of personality. Since it was created by the Raventós Codorníu Group in 2003, Legaris has never settled for anything less than the best. Our knowledge of winemaking and our extreme care in all the processes that we undertake at Legaris offer the consumer wines with a unique profile and character: solid, well structured, with a complex aroma and a broad palate, full, clean – wines in which the plant aromas are preserved and all the characteristics of the grape varieties come through.

Backed by more than one hundred years´ history, Bilbaínas Winery has remained true to the philosophy of its founder, Santiago de Ugarte, when it was founded in 1901. Bilbaínas Winery is the oldest bottling firm of La Rioja; it's the winery with the greatest surface area of underground cellars (3,400 m2) and with the greatest surface area of vineyards in the municipality of Haro, the emblematic capital of La Rioja Alta. Together, there are 250 hectares of vineyards of utmost quality which are filled with grapes owned by the winery to ensure quick processing without the loss of quality. Established in Haro's railway station neighbourhood, its strategic location has allowed it, from its beginnings, to take advantage of the train as a means of transport to ship its wines to any corner of the planet. Many harvests have passed since then and, during that time, with its flagship label, Viña Pomal, the oldest winery of La Rioja has maintained the personal style that has given this brand so much success and recognition. Since Bilbaínas Winery joined the Codorníu Raventós Group in 1997, it has started a new line of wines characterised by their modernity and their high level of quality. Today, Bilbaínas has some of the most prestigious, emblematic wines of La Rioja, amongst which Viña Pomal, Viña Zaco, Ederra, Royal Carlton and La Vicalanda are noteworthy.
Bach

Masia Bach is a winery in the Penedès region with a time-tested winemaking tradition. Its history goes back to the year 1915 when the brothers Pere and Ramón Bach i Escopet acquired the “Can Estrada” ranch in San Esteve Sesrovires. The Spanish Civil War wreaked havoc on part of the splendour achieved by Bach during the twenties and the winery had several owners until, in the year 1975, it joined the Codorníu Raventós Group. A lot of time has passed since then, but loyalty to the spirit of the Bach brothers has remained unchanged: quality, originality and charm in all wines and cavas. Today, Bach has made a name for itself on the Spanish market with two flagship labels: Bach Extrísimo Cava, which is the number one brut nature cava in sales in all of Spain, and Bach Extrísimo Semi-Sweet, which is the second most sold white regional wine on the Spanish market.
Séptima

The seventh new arrival to the Codorníu Raventós Group, the Séptima Winery, is located in Mendoza (Argentina), near the eastern foothills of the Andes. The area is known for being the most important wine producing region of Argentina. The 182 hectares of Séptima are more than 1,050 metres above sea level and all maintenance of the vines is undertaken manually and individually. The Séptima ranch surrounds the winery, keeping in lines with the old French Chateaux style. This, in turn, minimises the amount of time it takes to transfer the grapes from the field to the winery in order to preserve the quality of the grapes. The wines from Séptima Winery are of utmost quality and proudly boast numerous sorts of recognition in the press and at international contests.
Parxet

In the year 1920, the first bottles of Parxet cava hit the market, having been created through the "méthode champenoise" at Mas Parxet, where wines had already been made since the eighteenth century. The name Parxet comes from the French 'parchet,' which means "a small section of a vineyard" (petit morceau de vignoble). What sets us apart is that today (and always) we have strived to take care of the details –no matter how small they are–, because with each detail we learn and improve. The way we make Parxet, taking all the little details into account, not only defines a high quality cava but also a way of working. We believe in courage to maintain honesty and commitment to a job well done, going beyond trends and ambition. At Parxet we cultivate details.
Can Matons

When you have extraordinary vineyards, you can only get one thing: iconic wines. The Can Matons winegrowing estate, with its historic vineyards, provides small batches with respect to the tradition and legacy of one of the oldest Designation of Origins on the Iberian Peninsula: Alella. This new project is heir to the emblematic and prestigious Marquès d'Alella and it takes the name of the historic farmhouse (18th century) that stands among its vineyards in Santa Maria de Martorelles (Vallès Oriental, Barcelona). The wines by Can Matons are honest wines made in a simple and respectful way so as to honour all the nuances that the plots of land provide us with. We strive for the production of fine wines: balanced, fresh, and smooth... wines to be enjoyed in conditions by the consumer.
Portal del Montsant

In 2003, the Portal del Montsant Winery was founded, located where the former Marçà cooperative used to be – a building that has been used for making wines since the beginning of the last century. This up-and-coming winery in the Montsant wine region stands out because of its work with the area's historic grape varieties: Grenache and Carignan.
Mont-Ferrant

Mont-Ferrant was founded by Agustí Vilaret in 1865 after making his fortune in the Americas and returning to his country with his mind full of ambitious ideas and projects. He purchased Mas Ferrant with the aim of becoming a champagne producer. He planted vineyards, built a new winery, and acquired the necessary equipment to make the first Mont-Ferrant.

The international expansion of the Codorníu Raventós Group began with the opening of a modern winery located in Napa Valley, California in 1991. In this way, the company acquired its presence in one of the most prestigious and important viticulture regions of not only the United States but also the world. Located an hour by car to the north of San Francisco, theLos Carneros region of Napa Valley is famous for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Artesa Winery allows for the manufacturing of many small-sized lots of high-quality wines. Each wine is treated as carefully as possible to preserve the best aromas and flavours. Artesa is surrounded by more than 60 hectares of hills, half of which are planted with a wide array of vine types and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay selections.
